END OF YEAR ACTIVITIES OF THE LAGOS CHAPTER SINCE 2012.

At the end of every year after twelve months of physical meetings, with two exceptions of 2012 , where our monthly meeting commenced in March and 2020, where physical meetings ended in February, due to the Covid-19 lockdown, the years always ended on a celebratory note with the hosting of a wholesome get together funded and  attended by alumni and their families.

2020

In December of 2020, with only two physical meetings in the year and six zoom monthly meetings , due to the Covid19 pandemic, an end of year physical meeting cum dinner was held in Ikoyi, to round off the year. It served the dual purpose of a meet and greet event, after the ten month period of not seeing one another, as well as a dinner/dance end of year party. All these activities always, without exception, serve as further bonding opportunities amongst members as well as a pleasurable winding down events to bring a close to the year.

2017, 2018 & 2019

The end of year festivities for 2017, 2018 and 2019 took a different dimension. We participated in the annual December reggae sunplash hosted in Lekki by the husband of one of our members, Chioma Aruenyigo. It was always a wonderful close out to the year.

2014 & 2015

In December of  2014 and 2015, two Excellence balls were held at the Civic center Victoria Island to close out the end of the two years.

That of 2014 served as a fundraising event for the school fence project, and the urgent need to do something about it.

By December 2015, the fence was completed at a cost to the tune of approximately 6.5 million naira donated solely by the members of the Lagos chapter. The 2015 excellence ball event served as an award giving ceremony to those who contributed to the fence project.

2013

In December  of  2013, the end of year get together held in the regular meeting venue at Gerrard road Ikoyi.
